    So wait would your problem with photo-realism be the same when the source materiel is a still life not a photo?

    No, I guess not, because… okay, how do I explain this? Well, a photograph is ‘fixed’, and I don’t think that you’d ever draw something from a live model the way you ‘copy’ a photo, because of many reasons. What I love about art is the feeling the work transports, and personally I find that if you copy something the piece lacks ‘soul’, a personal touch, a glimpse of the artist’s personality, mood and feelings.

    Daamn, it’s really hard to explain something like this in a foreign language.
